9 Weeks Left in 2009 – What are your financial goals?

Depending on when you are reading there are nine weeks left until the end of 2009. What are your financial goals for your marriage money matters for the next nine weeks? How do you want to end 2009? Are your goals achievable or are you setting yourself up for disappointment?

Now is a time that you can still take action and impact your relationship and money. Whether it is one step or two steps, take action today. If that means ordering your credit report and positioning yourself to begin cleaning it up then so be it. Order your credit report from one credit bureau. Only one because you can get one free from each credit bureau once a year.

If it is paying off one bill by the end of the year. Then how are you going to accomplish that goal – make a plan and GO FOR IT! There is no reason that you cannot have fun with this and get creative about it. Do not let anything stop you.

Maybe you have never really looked at your overall finances and established a budget. Establishing a budget is a great thing and gives you a clear picture of what it takes to run your household. It might not be any of these, but the idea is to get you to start thinking and take action.

I remember when I was too embarassed to talk to anyone, yet what I knew was not enough to change my situation. Finally, I prayed to GOD and said LORD I need you to help me, help us. That was a turning point and I began doing the research and finding out how to clean up old debt. I also went back to work for temporary agencies. I TOOK a step. My husband was already working, but I was the one managing the money.
