Debt and the Christian Marriage Behind Closed Doors

It is hard being in a christian marriage and having debt. You believe you are on a walk that no one else could understand. At times you feel as if you are isolated, you cannot tell your husband the depth of the marriage and money problems because you know it will affect his walk with God.
You do not believe you can turn to your church because you have heard stories of people being turned away in their time of need. You are a tither and have volunteered in the church, yet at this time in your life when you have a need you don’t think you can ask them for help. You’ve been on the inside looking in and seeing that there are still people in the church that are in debt and it appears the help is limited.
You have been honest with yourself and realize that you are in a dilemma. You are holding on to your faith but it is getting shaky because you have not seen any resolution in sight. You’ve felt isolated from friends and family because there is no way you could tell them about this “private hell” you have been going through.
It is a new day! I commend you for becoming a member of Marriage Money Matters where you can come and get answers. No one will know you are a member unless you share with them that you are a member. I was that wife in a christian marriage that was standing strong and continuously making financial mistakes because I was embarrassed and didn’t want anyone to know how much I was hurting inside.
You know what the secret is though. Once I opened up, Praise God – the weight was lifted off my shoulder and satan could not use it against me anymore. Sure the debt was still there but I no longer felt that I had to hide and hide the pain. There was information available and God was always there to lead and guide.
Do you realize that when you have marriage and money problems and in a Christian marriage, the financial pain can overwhelm you so much that you might miss the “Voice of God” giving you instruction! God is always talking to us, it is a matter of whether we are listening or not.
Prepare yourself for a new journey in your faith and finances that can impact your marriage like never before. We are to be the example to the world. We are in the world but not of the world. You are not alone. I am here to help you. I have been through being in debt, sitting in church not understanding why I felt the devourer had not been rebuked when I was tithing and dealing with checks being non-sufficient. It’s time to take control of your finances and impact your marriage.

Thank you for your expertise and helping marriages all across this nation.
